Ingredients

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 hibiscus tea bags
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup honey or agave syrup
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint sprigs and lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a pot.
  2. Remove from heat and steep the hibiscus tea bags for 5 minutes, then discard the bags.
  3. Stir in honey or agave syrup until dissolved, then add the lime juice and zest.
  4. Add fresh mint leaves and let the mixture cool to room temperature. Strain if desired.
  5. Serve over ice cubes in tall glasses, garnishing with mint sprigs and lime slices. Enjoy!

Notes

Tip: Adjust the sweetness to your preference by adding more or less honey or agave syrup.

For an extra layer of flavor, consider adding a splash of sparkling water just before serving to give it a fizzy twist. If hibiscus tea is not available, you can substitute with chamomile or any other herbal tea for a different flavor profile.

To store, keep the cooler in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Just remember to give it a good stir before serving, as the ingredients may settle. If you’d like to make it a bit more festive, try adding slices of citrus fruit or a handful of berries for garnish.
