Ingredients

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

FOR THE HONEY-INFUSED MUSTARD DRIZZLE

  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 3-inch squares.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the cheddar cheese, parsley, chives, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.
  5. Fold the pastry over to form a triangle and seal the edges with a fork. Brush the tops with beaten egg.
  6. Arrange the puffs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  7. While the puffs are baking, prepare the honey-infused mustard drizzle by whisking together the Dijon mustard, honey, apple cider vinegar, and salt in a small bowl.
  8. Once the puffs are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before drizzling with the honey-infused mustard.

Notes

Note: These puffs are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for a few days. Reheat in the oven to restore crispness.

For extra crunch, consider adding some sesame seeds on top of your puffs before baking. If you want to switch up the flavor, try using different types of cheese such as Gruyere or feta.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. To reheat, pop them in the oven for a few minutes to regain their crispiness.
