Ingredients

INGREDIENTS

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1-2 jalapeños, finely chopped (adjust for spice level)
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced thin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 package of mini phyllo pastry cups (15 count)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, cranberry sauce, chopped jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  3. Place the mini phyllo pastry cups on a baking sheet.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture evenly into each phyllo cup, filling them almost to the top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are slightly golden.
  6. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy warm!

Notes

Tip: For added flair, garnish each bite with a small sprig of cilantro or a slice of jalapeño before serving.

For a milder option, remove the seeds from the jalapeños before mixing them into the cheese. You can also substitute the cranberry sauce with a cranberry jalapeño relish for extra texture and flavor.

Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the oven for a few minutes before serving to restore that delicious cheesy goodness.
