INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1 cup mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup (optional)
  • 3 cups sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Mint leaves for garnish

  2. Add the dried hibiscus flowers to the boiling water and steep for about 5 minutes.
  3. Strain the tea into a pitcher, discarding the hibiscus flowers, and let it cool.
  4. In the pitcher, add the mixed berries and honey or agave syrup, gently muddling the berries to release their juices.
  5. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the hibiscus tea mixture into each glass, leaving some space at the top.
  6. Top off each glass with sparkling water and stir gently to combine.
  7. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a few whole berries for a beautiful presentation before serving.

Notes

Tip: Adjust the sweetness by tasting the tea before serving and adding more honey or syrup if desired.

For an extra kick, add a splash of your favorite citrus juice, like lemon or orange, to enhance the tanginess of the drink. If you prefer a sweeter drink, feel free to adjust the sweetness with honey or agave syrup.

Store any leftover hibiscus tea in the refrigerator for up to three days, and mix it with sparkling water just before serving to maintain its fizz. This drink can also be made in larger batches, perfect for summer parties!
