  • 2 tablespoons tahini
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  2. In a food processor, combine avocados, basil, chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  3. Spread the hummus mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper in small mounds or on top of crackers.
  4. Sprinkle breadcrumbs over each mound generously, pressing down lightly to adhere.
  5. Drizzle or brush each bite with olive oil for added crispiness.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Tip: For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of cayenne pepper to the hummus mixture for a spicy kick!

For a twist on flavor, try adding roasted garlic or sun-dried tomatoes to the hummus mixture. If you’re looking for a gluten-free option, serve these bites on cucumber slices instead of crackers or bread. Keep any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
