Ingredients

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 cup honey or agave syrup
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 cups sparkling water
  • Ice cubes
  • Slices of citrus (orange and lime) for garnish
  • Extra basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine fresh orange juice, lime juice, honey, and basil leaves. Blend until the basil is finely chopped.
  2. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove the basil solids.
  3. Add sparkling water to the strained juice and stir gently to combine.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the Tropical Citrus mixture over the ice.
  5. Garnish each glass with slices of citrus and extra basil leaves before serving.

Notes

Note: For a non-sparkling version, substitute sparkling water with still water or coconut water.

Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or sugar to taste. For a fun twist, try adding a splash of coconut water for an extra tropical touch. If you want to make it a cocktail, a splash of rum or vodka pairs nicely!

Store any leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days, but it’s best enjoyed fresh. Garnish with additional basil leaves or citrus slices for a beautiful presentation when serving.
